AWS Class ER308/308L SAW and FLUX contain a chemical composition of 19-21% chromium, 9-11% nickel, and up to 0.03% maximum carbon content, which improves corrosion resistance by reducing carbide precipitation. These fillers provide a tensile strength of about 600 MPa, yield strength of about 300 MPa, and elongation of 35%. Their physical characteristics are a density of 7.9 g/cm³ and melting range of 1350-1400°C, which provide high thermal stability and oxidation resistance for high-temperature use.
