Kyaw Stainless, an expert stainless steel wire and flux producer in Naypyidaw, Myanmar, provides AWS Class ER309/309L SAW and Flux combinations that are specifically designed for stainless and dissimilar steels submerged arc welding. These products provide excellent arc stability, slag removal, and corrosion resistance during high-temperature applications. Kyaw Stainless guarantees every batch adheres to international quality standards of consistency and performance. ER309/309L offers outstanding fusion properties and low carbon pickup, so it is particularly suited for welding stainless steel to low-alloy or mild steels, as well as buffer layering before cladding.
ER309/309L wires have chromium (22–24%), nickel (12–14%), and managed levels of carbon — 309L having ≤0.03% carbon to reduce carbide formation. Typical mechanical properties are tensile strength of approximately 600 MPa, yield strength of about 420 MPa, and elongation of 35%. Weld metal has superior strength, ductility, and corrosion resistance in oxidizing and high-temperature conditions. With compatible flux, the welds exhibit smooth bead profiles, freedom from easy slag removal, and lower spatter, providing superior results for critical applications.

Designed for submerged arc welding of dissimilar metals and stainless steel, offering strong welds, high corrosion resistance, and a clean, efficient finish.
High-quality welds with excellent arc stability, minimal spatter, and a clean, slag-free finish, ideal for welding dissimilar metals and stainless steel.
AWS Class ER309/309L SAW and FLUX find vast applications in various industries like petrochemical, power generation, shipbuilding, and construction. They are specially suited for the welding of dissimilar metals, such as stainless steel to carbon or mild steel, and in cladding when high corrosion protection is desired. Their superior weldability along with high mechanical and oxidation resistance, they are eminently suited to fabricate pressure vessels, boilers, pipelines, and chemical equipment that will have to withstand extremely harsh environments.
AWS Class ER309/309L SAW and Flux is applied for welding carbon or low-alloy steels to stainless steel, and for covering mild steel parts. Uses involve boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and chemical equipment in plants. The weld metal has superior corrosion resistance and cryogenic toughness when exposed to thermal cycling. It can also be applied for buffer layers prior to overlaying stainless surfaces. Other industries that depend on these materials include shipbuilding, power generation, and petrochemical.
