Stainless Steel 317L Coils are primarily made up of chromium (18–20%), nickel (11–15%), and molybdenum (3–4%), with a low carbon content that enhances weldability. This specific composition significantly improves resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in both chloride and acidic environments. On the mechanical side, these coils have a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and an elongation of roughly 35%, which ensures excellent formability and toughness, even when exposed to high temperatures and stress.
