316Ti flanges are titanium-stabilized versions of 316 grade stainless steel, which is primarily made up of iron, molybdenum (2–3%), nickel (10–14%), chromium (16–18%), and titanium (0.5%). Titanium increases stability at high temperatures and strengthens resistance to intergranular corrosion. Excellent tensile strength (515 MPa minimum), yield strength (205 MPa minimum), and approximately 40% elongation are all displayed by these flanges. While titanium offers superior mechanical integrity during extended exposure to high temperatures and oxidising environments, the molybdenum content boosts resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.
