Stainless Steel 420 Sheets and Plates are martensitic stainless steels that primarily consist of 12–14% chromium and 0.15% carbon, along with small amounts of manganese, silicon, and nickel. This unique composition grants them impressive hardness, good tensile strength, and moderate resistance to corrosion. After heat treatment, they can achieve a tensile strength of around 700 MPa and a hardness of up to 500 HB. They also show good resistance to fresh water, mild acids, and alkalis, making them suitable for applications that demand high mechanical performance and moderate corrosion protection.
