ER320LR filler wires are usually composed of chromium (19–21%), nickel (33–37%), molybdenum (2–3%), copper (2–3%), and controlled carbon (<0.03%). Weld metal has good corrosion resistance in sulfuric and phosphoric acids and chloride-induced corrosion. Standard tensile strength is around 650 MPa, yield strength approximately 450 MPa, and elongation 30–35%. Low-carbon, limited composition reduces carbide precipitation and enhances corrosion resistance in reducing and oxidizing conditions. ER320LR has superior ductility and toughness, yielding reliable performance under extreme chemical and thermal stress.
