ER630 filler wires consist of chromium (15–17%), nickel (3–5%), copper (3–5%), and 0.15–0.45% niobium/columbium with low carbon content. The weld metal develops tensile strength of around 930 MPa, yield strength of 725 MPa, and elongation of around 17% after proper heat treatment. It exhibits exceptional corrosion resistance in marine and chemical environments and good mechanical stability.
